STUDENT JOURNAL INFORMATION

In the hope of broadening student interest and familiarizing the undergraduate and graduate community with Canadian Jewish Studies, starting in the fall of 2005 the Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies at Concordia University began to support an initiative for a student web-based journal. The Student Journal of Canadian Jewish Studies provides a forum for undergraduate and graduate papers, articles and book reviews from any discipline relating to the Jewish experience in Canada. The first journal volume was published in 2006.

The Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies at Concordia University is delighted to announce that this year the Student Journal of Canadian Jewish Studies has grown internationally with contributions from Germany, Poland and Canada, thereby demonstrating how the Canadian Jewish experience is important in the study of Jewish history as a whole.

The Journal can be viewed at:

Submissions and questions should be directed to the editors of the Student Journal.

The continued success of the journal depends entirely upon the amount of student submissions received. To this end, we would greatly appreciate if you would encourage students, both graduate and undergraduate, to submit any work in the area of Canadian Jewish Studies. This offers a wonderful opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the field and to publish work in an academic context. The authors of published papers will also receive a stipend to further encourage their work on this subject.
